Memorial Day 2025: Best Running Gear Deals on Garmin, Coros, Shokz

Memorial Day weekend is one of the two or three times a year when running watch prices actually drop enough to matter. We're seeing discounts on Garmin, Coros, and Shokz gear that close the gap between flagship and mid-range pricing in a meaningful way.

On the Garmin side, the Forerunner 965 and Fenix 8 series are seeing cuts in the $50 to $100 range. That matters because the 965 normally sits at $599 and competes directly with the Coros Vertix 2S at $699. If you can grab the 965 closer to $499, the GPS accuracy and training load features make it the stronger pick for most triathletes.

Coros is also discounting the Pace 3, which is already one of the best value running watches at its regular $229 price. The optical PPG heart rate sensor on the Pace 3 is genuinely good for a wrist-based unit, though serious athletes should pair it with a chest strap for interval work where electrical signals from a Polar H10 or Garmin HRM-Pro Plus give you beat-by-beat accuracy the wrist simply cannot match.

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 bone-conduction headphones are also in the sale mix. At full price they sit at $179. Bone conduction means you keep full situational awareness on open roads, which matters more than sound quality for most outdoor training sessions.

Short verdict: if you have been waiting to upgrade, this weekend is a legitimate window. Check stock early because the Forerunner 265 and Pace 3 sell out fast during these sales.
